Becca and Sam chose an intimate ceremony at South Hams Registration Office in Totnes, proving that the most meaningful weddings are often the simplest. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they focused on what really mattered—becoming husband and wife.
As a documentary wedding photographer based in Devon, these smaller celebrations are some of my favourites to photograph. With fewer distractions and no pressure to follow a packed schedule, there’s space for genuine emotion, quiet moments and authentic photographs that tell the story of the day.

The ceremony itself was warm, personal and full of emotion. There was laughter, a few happy tears and plenty of smiles as Becca and Sam exchanged their vows.
After the ceremony we headed outside for a relaxed portrait session.
Rather than spending hours away from their guests, we took a short walk and created a collection of natural photographs that reflected who they are as a couple. No awkward posing, no forced smiles—just genuine moments together as they soaked up the excitement of being newly married.
